The chaos in Brazil
It is not something new that Brazil is currently going under a huge economical and political struggle but a single question remains, how a country with so many resources can be failing so badly.
I’m not an economist or even a political expert but I’m a Brazilian and that gives me an unique perspective over the situation that currently is happening on Brazil.
For a start, watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVimVzgtD6w It is a TED Talk and during this video this expert makes a very smart comparison with Brazil and Korea.
If you attach his notes about Brazil’s decision years ago and what is happening in Brazil now you will notice that it is, believe or not, still connected, but why?
The reason for this chaos that is happening on Brazil is simple: culture or better saying, the lack of.
For any country to be successful you need 3 important ingredients:
* Education
* Health
* Infrastructure
It is simple: No education, not specialized labor, no health, no labor at all and no infrastructure no way to progress. Attach this to a poor culture, large amount of holidays and a very weak labor law, you will get Brazil.
The political and economical scenario of Brazil will not improve in the next 4 to 12 years unless something really drastic happens with Brazil’s current election system and how the government oversees its finances.
There were too many losses. Brazil has lost it’s own master corporation, Petrobras, the dissatisfaction increases with the country's population, the economic crisis is out of control and Brazil’s current president is not able to hold the country together.
The sad part about all of this is that every time that something really bad happens, to draw the attention out of the problem, a huge party happens and everything seems perfect. This happened with the World Cup in 2014 and will happen with the next Olympics that will be held on the country.
Aparently ancient rome has not gone away. Yeay gladiators.
It is something to wonder. If Brazil had taken the same decision that Korea took years ago (reference video) would it be at the same place as Korea or it would be further away.
