The genie
I heard this story just about a few days ago and it did impact me deeply. It brings a different perspective on how you are dealing with your day-to-day and I absolutely love it.
“One day you are walking down the street and you stumble on a magical lamp. You rub it and a genie comes out of it. This genie is not like the fairy tales genie that you heard about it and gives you 3 wishes. He is different. Instead he tells you that he is in fact death and from this moment forward you will die and re-live your life exactly how it was over and over again for eternity.”
It is impossible not to think about the Groundhog Day movie that the day repeats over and over again, but imagine that as a whole life. It is impossible not to question if eternity is supposed to be heaven, hell or limbo where you are you now in this moment of life and how your life has been.
I know my answer and I also know that, regardless of what it is, I will work towards making a heaven out my life because who knows if tomorrow I will be the one stumbling on that magical lamp.
